Heavy rain in UAE… and expected to continue today

Yesterday, different regions of the UAE witnessed rains of varying intensity, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Fujairah, Al Ain City and Al Dhafra Region.

The country’s concerned authorities and emergency services have confirmed the 24-hour readiness of their personnel to deal with fluctuations in weather conditions, and have also issued warnings on the need to be careful and cautious when driving vehicles and avoiding valleys and places where water flows and cashes in, while government and private school departments in the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah have decided to redevelop “remote” study for today and tomorrow.

In turn, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has called on private sector companies to exercise care and caution in external work, to guarantee the safety of workers during their travels to and from workplaces and to ensure compliance of all occupational safety, health and safety requirements, during prevailing weather fluctuations.

In the Emirate of Dubai, heavy to moderate rainfall fell in Margham, Murqab, Jumeirah and Al Lusaili, and was moderate in Hatta, Al Awir and Lehbab.

In the Emirate of Sharjah, rains of varying intensity fell on Al-Saja’a, Al-Barashy, Al-Budaiya, Al-Burair, Al-Rafi’ah, Al-Suyoh, Al-Dhaid, Sharjah-Maleiha Street, Al -Bataeh, Al-Bataeh, Maliha and heavy rain with hail on Qattah, Nizwa and Al-Madam.
